THE OLD MILL RESTAURANT
Rather expensive but good dinner menu. Excellent for special occasions. Semi-formal dress. Usually a small band with singer who offer all types of dances. Andrea & Fred like to go on quiet nights (Mon, & Tues.) and we get the floor mostly to ourselves. In fact, the band has asked us what we would like them to play!

BELGIUM & THE NETHERLANDS: Andrea found a great folder at a hotel listing a huge number of Salsa venues. It appears to be printed monthly. If you can't find it when you travel, try www.cantinero.nl (this venue may give you more information) or email Andrea@dancingonking.com and she will try to help.

UNITED KINGDOM: LONDON: I like www.londonsalsa.co.uk for information.

Salsa on Sundays was a really good venue. No alcohol so everyone keeps count. A few blocks southeast of Euston Station. Comments: The music is much faster than in Toronto. A lot of the ladies wear real latin dance shoes -- they are serious. The Intermediate and advanced lessons tend to be challenging.
LADIES, THE MEN ARE SHY. YOU HAVE TO ASK THEM TO DANCE. THEY SEEM PLEASED WHEN YOU DO. They are listed on the above website but don't seem to have one of their own.

There is also a pretty good dancing at "Salsa!" also known as "Bar Salsa" at
96 Charing Cross Rd at Shaftsbury. They don't seem to have a website either but are listed as above.

Unfortunately, I have not yet connected with Ballroom or Tango groups there yet.
