Argentine Tango
Argentine Tango was created in the melting pot of the barrios (slums) of Buenos Aires in the late 1800's. It is a fusion of influences brought by sailors and immigrants from Spain, Africa and Italy. A complex, sophisticated and layered dance, it requires a strong connection between partners. Argentine Tango is a more intricate and less structured dance than Ballroom Tango requiring more interpretation and "play" from the dancers.

Hip Hop
Like Latin Dances such as Salsa, Hip Hop is a term used to describe the music & dance of its culture. Following the Afro-Caribbean line of syncopated dance styles (which lead to dances like Merengue and Swing) this individual dance form was influenced by dance styles like Brazilian Capoeira that by the 1970s became known as Break Dancing. With its often gymnastic flare and isolated moves Hip Hop dancing meshed with Modern Jazz Dance and Skipping moves to form the physically charged phenomenon it is today. The music for Hip Hop is rhythm driven and highly eclectic filled with urban intensity
